How It Started
Brothers Ryland and Trevor Card built Stillwater out of a simple frustration. They loved getting together with friends — the long evenings, the easy conversations, the kind of nights worth remembering. But the drinks that filled those moments kept getting in the way.
"We wanted something that let the night breathe. Something that kept the good times going without the bloat, the sugar crash, or the morning-after regret."
Highly carbonated drinks left them feeling full before the night was over. Sugary seltzers spiked and crashed. Low-ABV options meant drinking more to feel less. None of it was right. So they made their own.
What started as a recipe in a home kitchen became a mission: a cleaner, stronger, quieter drink for people who want to enjoy the moment — not fight through it.

Ryland is the creative force behind Stillwater's look and feel. With an eye for design and a belief that premium products shouldn't have to shout to be noticed, he shaped the brand from its first sketch — the circle mark, the dark can, the quiet confidence of it all. Trevor drove the product side — obsessing over the formula until it was exactly right. Zero sugar. Ninety calories. Ten percent ABV.
